Kerala by Wander Womaniya (9 - 15 December 2023)
Day wise itinerary specially designed by Wander Womaniya for girls traveling solo in India
Kerala, a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, and a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee, and spice plantations as well as wildlife. The god's own country has a true blend of backwater, western ghat hills & lovely white sand beaches.Varkala is a small town in Kerala with abundant natural beauty. This charming town sits nestled on the coastal stretch overlooking the Arabian sea & it isn't anything that you associate Kerala with! Imagine a serene cleaner version of Goa with fewer crowds.

Featuring the world's largest bird sculpture, the Jatayu Adventure Centre at Chadayamangalam in Kollam, Kerala is a one-of-a-kind theme park based on the Indian epic, the Ramayana. The ropeway ride is worth the distance. It was made to celebrate the sacrifice of jatayu to save Sita when Raavan abducted her. One can also enjoy zip-lining here.
We will also visit the Anjengo fort & lighthouse today. (The fort is actually more of a barrack where soldiers & arms were garrisoned, hence do not expect a huge fort or palace :P but it is an important landmark in Varkala)
