Vietnam with Halong bay Cruise (7 - 14 October 2023)
 
Day-wise itinerary specially designed by Wander Womaniya for solo travellers
 
Day 1: Arrival in Ha-Noi
 
Arrive at Ha-Noi airport, complete the immigration formalities & meet your tour buddy along with the group, followed by check into your hotel. Have local cuisine PHO for dinner followed by a visit to Lotte Skywalk to see Hanoi from the top later in the night (around 10PM) to see a bird's eye view of the city.

Day 2: Ha-Long Bay Cruise
 
Post breakfast, we will checkout from hotel at 8AM and keep our luggage at the lobby. We will take 1 backpack (30 litres - 40 litres) and pack 1 day clothes as we head to Halong Bay Cruise.
 
After a roughly 2.5 hour road journey we will head gather at the pier & check-in onboard the cruise, you will receive cruise briefing and safety instructions. Lunch will be served in the restaurant on board - as you savor the exquisite Vietnamese and international cuisines, the cruise will slowly head pass beautiful islets in Halong Bay such as Da Chong, Con Vit, and Gia Luan.
 
We will get off and experience the Trung Trang Cave - the largest valley on Cat Ba Island with beautiful stalactites. After that, you will have an opportunity to swim in the crystal water of Tra Bau Area.
 
Later return to our cruise to watch the amazing sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Dinner and overnight stay on cruise.
 
Day 3: Halong Bay - Danang
 
Post breakfast we will go be transferred by canoes to explore the bay area with time for swimming/ kayaking, followed by checkout from cruise. Head back to pier and get transferred to Hanoi airport for your flight to Danang.

Day 4: Golden Bridge & Bana Hills
 
Post breakfast we head towards Bana Hills.  Full day to explore Bana Hills, which has the golden bridge, french town, arcade centre, numerous cafes & much more. 
 
Evening we will visit Hoi An night market. At this market, you will be immersed in the bustling shopping space and get attracted to many dishes with the unique regional taste.
 
Overnight at Danang. 
 
Day 5: North to South (Ho Chi Minh)
 
Post breakfast proceed to the Danang airport and take flight to Ho Chi Minh city, upon arrival check in at hotel. Evening is free to shop / try Vietnamese coffee scene. We do recommend checking out the nightlife in Ho Chi Minh City.
 
Day 6 Vung Tau Day Trip
 
Vung Tau is an old port town to the southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, developed under the French as a seaside resort called Cap Saint Jacques.
 
We start early today as we depart for Vung Tau beach side city (about 2-hour drive),
 
We will visit the following places:
 
Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda
Light House
Giant Jesus
White Palace
 
 
Followed by lazy afternoon at Thuy Van Beach - We recommend you to carry swim suits.
 
Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City
 
Day 7 Cu Chi tunnels & Fire an AK47
 
Attend the most exciting history lesson ever on a Củ Chi Tunnels Tour! Learn about Vietnam's guerilla war by climbing into the underground tunnels that used to be rigged with booby traps, which played a crucial part in the fight. Built by local fighters during the Indochina conflict, the Cu Chi tunnels served as a base for the Viet Cong, the National Liberation Front. It included almost everything needed for the life of the Viet Cong, where the local soldiers and residents used to eat, sleep, work, cook and even go to school. Started in 1948 as a hiding place from French air attacks, by 1965, the tunnel was estimated to consist of an astounding 200km of tunnels within a larger tunnel system. Have an unforgettable experience as you explore the underground tunnels and get to know what life was like for the Viet Cong soldiers!
 
We will also visit book street (you can find English to Vietnamese translation for almost every book in the world), saigon post office (one of the most important buildings from history - send yourself or your closed ones a handwritten note from here & cathedral.
 
Evening free to explore the Saigon city shopping / nightlife
